With a group of up to 6 people with off-road motorcycles we drive through one of the most beautiful areas of Morocco. You will be amazed by flying for several hours and you can end up in a world that is so different from ours, the beautiful, exotic Morocco. We cross the rugged Atlas Mountains, past fertile valleys and primitive Berber villages. Along the way we pass centuries-old kasbahs (fortified villages or forts, built from loam and straw), spectacular mountain passes and fertile river oases full of date palms. From Foum Zguid we travel through the desert with endless plains and the impressive red sand dunes. Also the mars-like and volcanic mountains and landscapes of Jebel Saghro are not missing on the route with its impressive passes. We also pass the Dadès Kloof & Dadès Valley. Day 1: Marrakech
Day 2: Marrakech - Ouarzazate (211km)
Because we already have the motorcycles in the evening, we can start our adventure on time. After we have left the hectic pace of Marrakech behind us, we take the first opportunity that comes to go off-road. Here you can get used to the engine and the ground. We drive past a number of small villages to the main road at Taddert where we will have our lunch. After lunch we will quickly leave the main road towards Kasbah Aït-Ben-Haddou. This is the most famous Kasbah of Morocco, and partly inhabited. Many films such as Game of Trones and The Gladiator were recorded at this magical location. With the endpoint for today Ouarzazate.
Day 3: Ouarzazate - Foum Zguid (211km)
After driving about 10 km on-road, we start our first off-road section. It is a track of about 73 km. This track has fast and straight tracks, turning, slow driving and over rocky terrain with everything in between. After a pit stop in Tazenakht we continue to the old gold mine, Bou Azzer where we will go off-road again. It is a track of about 80 km past some villages where we have the opportunity to stop. After this we drive (28 km) to our hotel with swimming pool where a cold beer is waiting for us.
Day 4: Foum Zguid - M'hamid El Ghizlane (150km)
We drive the first part on-road until shortly after Foum Zguid where we turn left towards the sand dunes. The route today is completely off-road. We drive between the sand dunes and mountains along road number N12. For the Dakar riders among us here is the chance to experience driving on sand dunes. After this, today’s lunch is enjoyed in a traditional nomad tent. After lunch we drive to our hotel with swimming pool, where a cold beer is also possible. Depending on the time, it is possible for the diehards among us to explore the area.
Day 5: M'hamid El Ghizlane - Nkob (237km)
We depart from M’hamid el Ghizlane towards Tamegroute where we will go off-road to about Zagora. After the first part on-road we head towards the northern place Tazarine with the final destination Nkob. We drive over a deserted rugged area. Finally, we go into the height of what is exciting but fun. Lunch is taken from Zagora to be consumed on the way.
Day 6: Nkob - Tinghir (140km)
The route today is completely off-road. With mountain peaks of about 2800 meters, this yields beautiful experiences. We drive over the Tizi-n-Tazart pass. It is a rough pass that is not easy to ride, but it is worth it, especially the first part. We drive towards Iknioune where lunch is ready for us on arrival. After dinner we still enjoy the last kilometers of piste to Tinghir where we will spend the night in old family Kasbah.
Day 7: Tinghir - Skoura (274km)
After we have refueled the engines in Tinghir, we drive towards the famous Dadès gorge & Dadès valley. The Todra gorge belongs to the eastern part of the high Atlas Mountains and is close to the town of Tinghir. The gorge was created thousands of years ago by the Todra and Dadès rivers flowing over the rocks, eroding the rocks and creating a passageway. The Dadès gorge is less known than its big brother the Todra gorge, it is a lot greener and less touristy. It is best described as a valley or valley with rock walls that rise high on both sides. The Dadès River flows through the valley, creating an oasis of green. After consuming our lunch at a family restaurant in Dadès we continue our route with the final destination Skoura.
Day 8: Skoura - Demnate - Marrakech (260km)
From Skoura we drive towards Ouarzazate where we turn towards Demnate. It is a beautiful long track with steep climbs and descents. Most of it has been abandoned, but we will pass two liquorice where you will wonder how it is possible to live here. We have lunch in Demnate. Then we drive about 80 km to arrive in Marrakech at the end of the afternoon. Here you can visit the night market (Djemaa el Fna) for the latest purchases or shoot beautiful photos.
